Club of the Year was launched back in 2015, to reward EFAA clubs for attending National Championships. The event is based on the format of the Champion of Nations event in the IFAA. Up to 9 archers are selected per club for every National EFAA shoot across, one from each of the 9 major styles: FU, BU, FS, BB, BH, LB, TR, BL, HB. The scores shot are compared to the relevant national record. The closer to a national record the score is, the more points you get.

As with previous years, each club has the opportunity to earn points at each competition during the year.

All adult and veteran archers are eligible. Teams will be selected by the EFAA based on the results data.

To calculate the winning team, we will compare the score shot to the National record in that style. The archer with the highest percentage in each group will be used, so only 4 archers count.

This method is more inclusive of bowstyle and gender, as it isn’t the highest scores that win, but the archers who score highest compared to the records in their own style. We will use current EFAA records to calculate scores.

This year’s Champions are Black Eagle Bowmen, who once again claimed the trophy with 28 archers contributing to an impressive 1,456 points. Hot on their heels were Kings Forest Bowmen, taking second place with 1,377 points, and Merlin Field Archers, finishing third with 1,041 points.
