BAREBOW RECURVE

  • Recurve bow No sights
  • Stabilisers permitted
  • One nocking point
  • Draw checks and levelling device permitted but may not extend above arrow.
  • String walking or face walking.
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear

  • One consistent anchor point
  • Release aid not permitted
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear

BOWHUNTER UNLIMITED

  • Compound bowv
  • Five pin sight
  • One straight stabiliser mmaximum 12" length
  • Clicker not permitted
  • Bubble level permitted incorporated in the pin guard

LONGBOW

  • One piece straight end bow of any material which when strung displays one continued unidirectional curve
  • Bow may contain window and arrow shelf
  • No sights

  • One nocking point
  • Mediterranean loose
  • Arrows must be of wood fletched with natural feather
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear

TRADITIONAL RECURVE BOW

  • Recurve bow
  • No arrow rest
  • No sights
  • One nocking point Mediterranean loose
  • One consistent anchor point
  • Arrows can be made of any material and fletched with natural feather
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear

Additional styles recognized by the EFAA

AMERICAN FLAT BOW

  • One piece straight end bow of any material which when strung displays one continued unidirectional curve
  • Bow may contain window and arrow shelf
  • No sights
  • No stabiliser
  • One nocking point
  • Mediterranean loose
  • Facewalking is permitted
  • Arrows must be of wood fletched with natural feather
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear

ENGLISH LONGBOW

  • Bow shall be of "D" section made entirely of wood
  • No sight window or arrow rest
  • No sights
  • No stabiliser
  • String one colour only
  • One nocking point
  • Mediterranean loose
  • One consistent anchor point
  • Arrows must be made of wood fletched with natural feather
  • Arrows used shall be identical in length, weight, diameter, fletching's and nocks without regard to colour, with allowance for wear and tear
